A Health Instructor Inspires His Pupils To Learn About Symptoms Of Alcoholism, Signs Of Alcoholism, And Alcoholic Symptoms
Mr. Johnson was one of the health teachers at a small country junior high school in the Northern part of the United States. For "Alcohol Awareness Month" he made up his mind that he would center his attention on the following three topics for a class project: the symptoms of alcoholism, the signs of alcoholism, and alcoholic symptoms.
After Mr. Johnson finalized the topics that would be allotted to his students, he made a decision that he would provide them with their assignment the following Monday morning. When "assignment day" finally came, Mr. Johnson met with the students in his classroom, passed out some relevant facts and information, and then told the students in his class about the topics he ultimately selected.
He then gave his class a summary of some key signs of alcoholism and highlighted how important it is to learn how to correlate these statistics, facts, and symptoms with the everyday circumstances of alcoholics. He then gave his students a succinct description about the importance of learning more about alcoholics and how they perform their activities on a daily basis.
Mr. Johnson notified the students in his class that they could isolate on one of the three topics or discuss all three topics and how they are interconnected. In effect this would be similar to a general abstract but done in a more comprehensive manner.
Another choice that he offered to his class was the following: select a topic such as alcohol dependency symptoms and signs, delve into things in a more comprehensive manner, and then discuss three or four signs and symptoms. Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that the same logic applies to the other two topics, namely, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.
The end result of their examination would be a five thousand word term paper and then a twenty-five minute oral presentation that would be presented in front of all the members of the class. As appreciation for their outstanding academic success, those with the top two overall grades on the term paper and on the presentation will be invited to present the outcome of their inquiry at the regional alcohol abuse and alcoholism conference during the last two weeks of January.
As noted by Mr. Johnson, because there are numerous alcohol dependency signs and symptoms to choose from, he stated that he was not excessively fretful about various students selecting the same signs and symptoms for their research project. To be sure, even if multiple students were to choose the same symptoms and signs, the illustrations that are related to each symptom or sign would certainly add enough multiplicity to avoid two or more pupils presenting identical content.
Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that while there are numerous alcoholism symptoms and signs that could be picked, the number of alcoholism statistics and facts that could be discussed were just about unlimited. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the conversation, moreover, the pupils apprehended rather quickly that the three topics would make available a vast amount of data from which to select.
Why did Mr. Johnson select the signs of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the symptoms of alcoholism as the topics for this undertaking? Mr. Johnson thought that by augmenting the awareness of his students about the negative consequences of alcoholism and the desolate existence experienced by alcohol dependent people, his pupils might think more wisely before they engaged in careless drinking behavior.
